Many activities including individual activity days and camps, then lead onto challenges such as the Arctic Winter Expeditions with the students becoming excellent young leaders. The School ethos around personal development and wellbeing is very strong. Teachers are very caring about their students and help them to excel during cold temperatures in the arctic.
This school has such a strong ethic around outdoor education and play, we’ve run several holiday camps with a difference, plus a weekly programme of bushcraft classes. The students are enthusiastic and show good progression in woodland and survival skills.
Reddam students demonstrate independence and a thirst for learning, particularly evident in their engagement with CCF training and summer camps. Teachers at Reddam empower students to become confident, self-directed learners, laying the foundation for success in various endeavours.
The LEH Year group activity days were brilliant for fun and games, all the students showed great teamwork, Being selfless and oh so happy students they did really well on first aid and emergency evac lessons.
We worked with groups from Kemnal on progressing through the survival training programme. The students are very independent and engaged, with strong skills in wilderness survival and knife craft.
We run several activity days for Westcliffe where they have a really engaging outdoor learning space onsite. A whole team of fantastic teachers who want their students to have top quality experiences. Very enthusiastic learners.
Collaborating closely with LOGS students, we’ve witnessed remarkable progress through survival training and Arctic Winter Expeditions. The longstanding tradition of “Year 7 Getting to Know You Days” has been instrumental in fostering unity among junior school students and newcomers. LOGS students demonstrate exceptional eagerness to learn and grow, pushing the boundaries to break through limits, especially those participating in the Young Leader Programme and Work Experience. Our partnership extends to supporting teachers in their commitment to personal development, creating a nurturing environment for all.
Our collaboration with Newstead Wood has seen students excel in DofE training, school camps, and carving classes. The meticulous attention to detail displayed by Newstead girls speaks volumes about their dedication and the supportive environment fostered by teachers. Teachers willingly invest their time to ensure each experience is outstanding for every student.
Polaris Outdoor worked with very large groups for their overseas summer camps, and saw brilliant progression onto the challenges of the Arctic. The students look after each other really well in their tiered form groups, a great sense of community, which facilitated them holding the record of being our youngest students, at 10 years old, on our Arctic Expedition.
Survival training camps are the main focus for this school. The Teachers are very supportive and involved throughout which makes a huge difference and means that the Students and teachers are united with a strong work ethic.
Northchapel School: This school has brilliant teachers who have good knowledge of bushcraft during their school camps. The students did very well in survival training and have exceptional cooking skills.
