Testimonials Related to This Experience

“Our 6 years old son spent two days in the camp and truly enjoyed the fire and tent making activities. He was chatting to us about what he has learned every day after the camp. Highly recommend as there is so much fun and also life skills to learn. The kids are outside all the time, which is also great in particular when the days starts to become warmer. Will be definitely back for the next time.”

“Having survived an armed robbery in Tanzania with a well known gap year company, I trust few education providers with my life. With Mat, however, I would allow him to rub nettles all over my hands. I didn't hesitate, therefore to recommend him to my school to run bushcraft camps for Year 7. They were a resounding success with repeat bookings made immediately. I have now moved on to a new school and seized the opportunity to get Polaris Outdoor in to do some team building for our new Year 7, who were delighted to get out of the classroom and do something challenging. Mat is passionate about what he does. He is authentic and has tremendous integrity, combining emotional intelligence with bravery and educational expertise gained from his Geography teacher training. This is no ordinary outdoor company.”
Rebecca Ling
“Our 9 year old daughter had the time of her like at bushcraft camp this December - depite it raining almost constantly! The instructors were amazing with the children and really conveyed their enthusiasm for the outdoors and the activities. Our daughter keeps asking when the camp is running again and can she go every time this day please? Thanks so much to the Polaris Outdoor team for a brilliant job :-)”
Lucy Robinson
“I have worked with some members of the team before and they are highly driven, professional and good at what they do. At the same time they can have fun along the way making it an easy experience to work with them. I would highly recommend them.”

Polaris ran a corporate event for us today. They hosted us at the national shooting centre in Bisley for clay pigeon shooting and an amazing lunch, followed by fire craft, foraging tips and wood carving. Brilliant day for everyone. The polaris team really know their stuff and are professional, fun and very easy to get along with. Highly recommend for any type of educational / outdoor event.

Amazing Arctic Expedition. Lewes Old Grammar School worked with Polaris to send a group of year 10 students on an incredible week in Finland. The students were trained in Arctic survival skills and learnt the most enormous amount about themselves. A fabulous opportunity. The staff at Polaris were motivational and Mat is a great leader making sure that everyone is participating fully and getting the most out of the opportunity.

It was an amazing experience. I managed to capture lots of photos and learn very important skills. I even managed to learn a lot about myself, including whether I’m able to step out of my comfort zone.

I went on their Finland expedition trip to the arctic circle and it was amazing. I had such a great time doing all their activities and getting to try things you’ll only ever get to do once in your life. Truly a life changing experience.

Amazing trip to Finland with 50 students. The Polaris team are extremely experienced, lead some amazing activities, which meant both staff and students had a fantastic experience of the Arctic and would highly recommend their trips

My exhibition with polaris was amazing i have no complaints. All the instructors are very funny and caring. The exhibition itself we both physically and mentally challenging but i never felt uncomfortable because of the support of the team.

I learnt alot about myself on my week expedition in Finland. The leaders pushed everyone to try their best and were very considerate. I had a life changing experience with all the inspiration and motivation

The guys here are purely here to push you to where u work the most productively and they are so clued up it’s crazy and there is no climate in which they cannot navigate and thrive in. This rubs off on all people surrounding them and they continue to make todays generation aware of the risks and beauty out planet has! There past experiences are great to hear and are very interesting. Finland was amazing due to these people!
Daniel MacDiarmid
The Arctic expedition was life changing for our students. Over the course of the week the students gelled as a team, I saw their true colours shining through and they all loved it. Excellent feedback from the parents. Our instructors were absolutely top class. Not only in their professionalism with the students but their dedication to ensuring staff also got lots out of the trip and we’re comfortable. Meeting other Really Wild instructors out in Finland also showed that this level of expertise, professionalism and friendliness was consistent across the company. Would thoroughly recommend!!

Our daughter went on an Arctic Expedition with her school which was organized & managed by Polaris. She had the most amazing time & in a single trip accomplished several things that could be considered life experiences such as seeing the Northern lights, sleeping outdoors in a survival shelter & husky sledding. The Polaris Team were a huge part of what made the trip exciting for the pupils involved, & clearly had the ability to mix their experience & professionalism with the fun & understanding required to manage a group of adolescent school children, which must have been challenging. It was also great that they took the time & effort to give each pupil their own individual & honest feedback in writing after the trip, which we consider is worthwhile advice for our daughter moving forward. This experience has also given her a focus on what she hopes to do in the future & allowed her to map her further education to suit this, so its a huge thanks form us to the team at Polaris & keep up the good work.
