New skills and personal wellbeing go hand in hand. Learning something new can give a huge boost to your moral. Put a positive change in your routine, create a new hobby, and even turn into a business. All of this can help improve mental health, self confidence, personal satisfaction and much more.
Join us for a lovely day at Amberley Museum learning to carve a spoon. You could even make one like those found on King Henry VIII’s sunken flagship the Mary Rose. We can also help you to craft spatulas and other utensils. You’ll also get a free pass to come back on the next day to spend more time exploring the museum at your leisure – a special treat as the Classic Car show is on the 18th July this year.
This course is for adults, the lower age limit is 17. We are happy to offer other days for younger people wanting to learn carving – just drop us an email. Tea and coffee are provided, please bring a packed lunch or enjoy a treat in the Limeburner cafe.
Our staff are highly skilled and experienced woodworkers. In addition, some also sell their work privately and take commissions. They are offering their expertise to teach you how to safely use a bushcraft knife and spoon hook. Create something unique to take home with you.
