Where will I sleep and eat?
On the first and last night you’ll sleep in the traditional finish log cabins at the gold village. Authentic ingredients are used to prepare your dinner: wild fish, organic wild boar, free-range reindeer, local game from hunters, plus berries and mushrooms from the surrounding forests. We’ll then head out into the wilds where you’ll get closer to nature by wild camping using our expedition tents and forest shelters. Each night we’ll have access to hot showers and plumbed toilets; with a special sauna treat one evening. You’ll cook together over an open fire to create classic Finnish dishes such as juicy reindeer sausage with pan-fired thyme potato.
Is it hard work?
This trip focuses on tradition gold finding and panning methods using hand tools such was shovels, crow bars, sluices, pans and other related gear. Its hard work but incredibly rewarding.
How much gold will I find?
The gold content in this part of the world is on average 1 gram per ton of material but pickers and even nuggets can be found.
How will you keep us safe?
